Your First Visit: No Surprises, No Pressure

Walking into a new doctor’s office can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what’s going to happen. At Pleasant Street Orthodontics in Concord, NH, we’ve worked hard to make the first consultation feel like the opposite: welcoming, informative, and completely pressure-free. Here’s a rundown of exactly what you can expect when you come through our doors on Pleasant Street.

Before You Arrive

When you call to schedule your first appointment at (603) 225-5242, our front desk team will give you a brief overview of what to bring and what to expect. If your child has had recent dental X-rays, we may ask you to have those sent over so we can review them ahead of time. If not, no problem, we’ll take the images we need right here in the office.

You’ll also be asked to fill out some basic health history forms. These can often be completed online before your visit, saving you time in the waiting room.

The Welcome

When you arrive at 155 Pleasant Street, you’ll be greeted by our front office team. Our waiting area is comfortable and designed with families in mind. Kids and teens are welcome, and we work hard to keep wait times short. We know your time is valuable.

The Clinical Exam

Dr. James Teebagy will examine your teeth, gums, and jaw. He’ll look at how the upper and lower teeth fit together when you bite down, check for crowding or spacing, and assess jaw alignment. This is a straightforward visual and physical exam. Nothing painful happens here.

We’ll take a set of X-rays if needed. These give Dr. Teebagy a picture of what’s happening beneath the surface, including the roots of your teeth and any developing teeth that haven’t come in yet. Some patients also get digital photos taken of their teeth and face, which help with treatment planning.

The Conversation

After the exam, Dr. Teebagy will sit down with you and talk through what he found. He’ll explain whether treatment is recommended, what type of treatment makes the most sense for your situation, and what the timeline might look like. He communicates in plain language. You’ll leave understanding what’s going on and why, not scratching your head over dental terminology.

This is also your chance to ask every question you’ve been sitting on. No question is too basic or too detailed. We’re here to help you make a well-informed decision, not to push you toward anything.

The Financial Discussion

Our treatment coordinator will review the cost of recommended treatment, explain what your insurance covers if applicable, and walk you through financing options. We work with most major insurance plans and offer flexible monthly payment plans because we believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to good orthodontic care.

What If I’m Not Ready to Start Right Away?

That’s completely fine. Some patients need time to think it over. Others are in a ‘monitoring’ phase and will check back in a year or so. There’s no obligation at a consultation. Our job is to give you information. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

Ready to take the first step? Schedule your free consultation by calling (603) 225-5242 or visit us at 155 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301 in Concord, NH. We can’t wait to meet you.
