Most adult treatments are completed within 6 to 18 months, though many straightforward cases finish in under a year, and very minor adjustments can sometimes be achieved in just a few months. The exact treatment time varies based on the complexity of tooth movement and how consistently aligners are worn (ideally 20–22 hours each day for the best results).

You should remove your aligners when drinking anything other than plain water to prevent staining, warping, and trappy sugar under the aligners that can lead to cavities. This includes coffee, tea, wine, and sodas. However, many adults appreciate the flexibility to enjoy their favorite beverages when aligners are out for meals.

Appointments are typically scheduled every 8–10 weeks, which is less frequent than with traditional braces.
